There are at least four styles of codes or ciphers in the mystery. The simplest two, which have already been translated, are the words written in Cherokee in the book, and the Freemason cipher which appears on page 49 of the book.

The third cipher type encompasses four separate pages and sections of capital letters. They are:

NJKUZGJMVNUAGEWVOFXY
EFBXDMIEYHHAD
- on the flyleaf of the book

RQDTGSWMRGTOT
AOPOJKFDWKGZBD
TSHEB
- on page 503

SOLVED (SEE BELOW)
HFEWLBKXHZOOP
- on page 515

SOLVED
PEKNMMLMXYXAKCEIRFAOU
TUOGNXTZCKDDTALULA
- on page 636

Many attempts have been made to decipher these sections of text, with no success. Most types of ciphers, including grille, transposition (Caesar shift, etc.), and substition (i.e. Vigenere) ciphers have been tried.

With several strong hints from Ricky Macchristen the Zebulon playing card code has been solved. The playing cards shown in the video map to the codewords on crossfiregambit.com. This produces the cipher text

MTYNLONPLUSBQDVXUUPOQKPBVOCPAKMEQUOYCLCOBMEOVVMONWZA

Solving that cipher text as a Vigenere Cipher with the keyword HFEWLBKXHZOOPPEKNMMLMXYXAKCEIRFAOUTUOGNXTZCKDDTALULA (which are the cipher texts on page 515 and 636 combined) produces the phrase:

FOUR AND SEVEN BORN HIDDEN REVEALS THE CAVE OF PRINCESS TOCCOA

The last code appears in the ZEBULON video, and consists of a series of playing cards with geographic coordinates written on them. Some of the cards are inverted. The order of the cards is:

3 diamonds
5 clubs
Queen clubs

Followed by a non-suit card showing a map of the Blue Ridge and Smoky Mountains area, and then by the two Joker cards.
